NW Leicestershire District Council: Council Tax

Council Tax

Council tax

Information on council tax charges and payments

North West Leicestershire District Council is required to collect the council tax not just for itself but also on behalf of Leicestershire County Council, Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire Fire Service plus town and parish councils.

These bodies are responsible for deciding the amount they require - the District Council has no control over this. Only a relatively small proportion of council tax is kept by North West Leicestershire District Council to pay for its own services.
