Why not pay by Direct Debit?
The Council offer Direct Debit for Council Tax, Business Rates and Rent payments. Customers use Direct Debits because it is the simplest, cheapest and most convenient method of payment. Internet and Telephone Payments...
Since introducing our Internet and telephone payments service, things have really taken off! More and more people are using this service as it enables them to make payment from the convenience of their own home - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
We are introducing many more improvements to this facility making it easier for customers to make multiple payments and giving the ability to pay for a wider range of services.

From 1st April our enhanced internet payment service will be available on the following link and just follow the instructions on screen You will need your reference number and your debit/credit card details when making payment. When complete a receipt will be displayed that can be printed for your records
To pay over the telephone simply call on 01530 454730 with your reference number and your debit/credit card details and follow the instructions. At the end of the call you will be given a unique transaction number for your payment. Please make a note of this for your records.
For those customers who prefer to pay by cash..
From 1st April 2009 customers will be able to pay at Post Offices and shops displaying the PayPoint sign FREE OF CHARGE!

There are 59 locations across the District where you will be able to pay your Council bills. You could even pay them if you are away from home, with 23,000 locations nationwide! With Post Offices and PayPoint stores being more conveniently located and open longer hours, you will be able to pay your bills at a time and place that best suits you.
If you are a Council House tenant you will receive a plastic payment card for your rent with your bill in March. All other Council bills will include a barcode that can be scanned at any Post Office or PayPoint store to enable you to make a payment.
Full details of all payment methods will be included on all Council bills.
