Food Safety
Food Safety represents a large part of the work of the Environmental Health Department. The Commercial Services team is responsible for the regular inspection of food premises - restaurants and take-aways, pubs, shops and food manufacturers throughout the District of North West Leicestershire.

The Current work plan is detailed within the Food Safety service delivery plan.

They are also responsible for investigating Infectious Diseases and advising businesses and members of the public on food safety issues.
