Ibstock and Heather by-Election

Electors in North West Leicestershire’s Ibstock and Heather Ward will have six candidates to choose from when casting their vote for a new District Councillor to fill the vacant seat at the forthcoming by-election on Thursday 16th February 2012. 

The six candidates are:

  • Russell Antony Boam (The Conservative Party Candidate)
  • Dave De Lacy (The Labour Party Candidate)
  • Ivan Albert Hammonds (Independent)
  • Sue Morrell (Green Party)
  • Jakob Christopher Whiten (UK Independence Party)
  • Kim Wyatt (Liberal Democrats). 

For those electors entitled to vote in this election, polling stations will be in the following locations:

  • Baptist Chapel, Chapel Street, Ibstock
  • Wesleyan Reform Church, Melbourne Road, Ibstock
  • Battram Access Centre, Battram Road, Ellistown
  • Heather House, St John’s Close, Heather. 

The hours of poll will be 7am until 10pm.  Any elector who is unable to attend the polling station in person has until 5 pm on Wednesday 8th February to apply to vote by proxy.
