Try Something New in North West Leicestershire This Half Term

Date of Release: Tue 7th February, 2012

Why not come and try Geocaching this February half term. An ideal activity for all of the family, Geocaching is a modern day twist to treasure hunting and is a fun way to explore new locations like you never have before.

Geocaching uses a GPS unit to find hidden caches that have been placed around the world – and there are hundreds of them right here in Leicestershire!

North West Leicestershire’s Active Together team are holding two taster Geocaching sessions at Snibston Country Park on Monday 13th February between 10am and 12pm and on Tuesday 14th February from 1pm to 3pm.

Each session starts at the Snibston Discovery Park entrance and costs just £1 per person with under 5s going free. This includes use of a GPS unit. There’s no need to book but please note that GPS units will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Don’t forget you can also bring some of your own little treasures to put into the caches for someone else to find!
