Revaluation 2010
You may be aware that all business (Non-Domestic) properties in England have recently been revalued by the Valuation Office Agency (Inland Revenue). The business rate bills that were issued in March 2010 were based on the new rateable values which came into effect on the 1st April 2010.
Business properties are revalued every 5 years. The new rateable values are determined as at a particular date. This date is called the 'Antecedent Valuation Date'. In the case of the 2010 rating list, this date was 1st April 2008.
To view your new rateable value or to find out more about the 2010 Revaluation, please refer to the comprehensive set of frequently asked questions which are available on the Valuation Office's website: http://www.2010.voa.gov.uk/rli/
