Applying for a Private Hire Operator's Licence
Background Information
Before a private hire vehicle licence can be issued an operator must apply for a private hire operators licence.
Prospective applicants must acquaint themselves with Private Hire Operators Conditions and a copy of this document can be found below.

The applicant also has to provide a Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure Certificate (at own cost). NOTE: An enhanced CRB disclosure held by the applicant as part of his/her current NWLDC hackney carriage or private hire driving licence will be accepted. A new basic disclosure certificate needs to be presented every three years. A private hire operators licence cannot be granted or renewed until we receive a valid disclosure document.
