We understand that not everybody is able to take the bins and boxes to the kerbside on collection day. To help residents who find themselves in these situations we offer an assisted refuse collection, whereby the collection crews will pick the bins and boxes up from just outside your house, empty them and the put them back again.
This service is only for those who legitimately need it, if you feel you need the service then please do not hesitate to call the refuse department on the contact details below. We will need to ask a few questions before we place you on the service, but it is completely free of charge and you will receive a call once every two years to check everything is still okay.
Updating the Service
The nature of the service means that we have a lot of changes to which properties need assisted collections. We undertake regular reviews of the properties on our lists, this ensures that only those that need the service receive it.
