Arrange a clinical waste collection online
We operate a collection service for residents who create medical waste at home.
There are two types of waste we collect:
•Yellow clinical waste sacks (for any waste contaminated with blood or other bodily fluids)
•Yellow sharps boxes (for medical syringes).
Both the sacks and the boxes are supplied by the NHS.
Your hospital will call us to arrange a regular collection of yellow clinical waste sacks from your home if required.
You need to arrange the collection of sharps boxes yourself.
We collect on Tuesdays - you need to request a collection by the Friday before.
We ask that residents wait until they have collected six or more boxes before arranging collection. However if your medication has stopped or it takes a long time to fill a box, we can arrange collections sooner.

Our street cleansing team will clear discarded syringes from public land. We aim to do this within 24 hours.
