Local Energy Assessors

Anyone proposing to build a new dwelling will need to provide us with a 'Target Emission Rate' (TER) and a 'Dwelling Emission Rate' (DER) both on submission of the application and on completion if the dwelling changes in anyway. New commercial buildings will also require a TER and BER (Building Emission Rate).

From the 6th April 2008 all newly constructed dwellings will require the provision of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)and assessment against the Code for Sustainable Homes (although this may be a 'nil rating').
