The gyms at all the leisure facilities across the District offer an attractive environment to get fit in. Featuring Technogym equipment and helpful, qualified staff on hand you can be sure that no matter what goal you have set yourself these are the gyms to try to achieve them. Open seven days a week from early morning until late at night and with fully accessible equipment for people with disabilities why not give us a go? To use either of the fitness suites then you must have first undergone an induction. If you are a regular user of the fitness suites or become one at Hermitage, Hood Park or Measham Leisure Centres, why not join the fitness membership scheme and pay by direct debit? If you are a regular user at Ibstock Leisure Complex or Castle Donington Community College, ask for more information on their saver card. Alternatively, if you are disabled, on a low income, a student, a carer or aged 60 plus, why not become a leisure link member where you can get discounts at all the leisure facilities. If you have young children and are looking for someone to look after them whilst you are exercising get more information on local child care providers now!

To celebrate London 2012, Hermitage and Hood Park Leisure Centres are offering an Olympic offer that will earn you £20.12. If you fancy earning £20.12, simply refer a friend to the fantastic fitness membership scheme. Once your friend has joined up to either the Aqua fitness or Active Fitness Plus membership package and their direct debit is being claimed, you will receive a fantastic £20.12 money back in to your account. Getting Started
The first step on your way to a healthier lifestyle is to book in for a one-hour induction. During this induction you will be introduced to all our machines and shown how to use them safely and correctly. All you have to do is to telephone your chosen centre or ask at reception and we will arrange a time that is convenient for you to come along for your induction. During your induction, your Activ8 card will be made up for you so that you can come along and use any of the gyms at Hood Park, Hermitage and Measham Leisure Centres and Ibstock Leisure Complex and Castle Donington Community College whenever you want. You can then book in for follow up sessions or programmes with our instructors who will design a workout routine to meet your health and fitness goals.

Please note the fitness suites will be closed to the general public at the following times due to GP referral sessions:
- Hermitage Leisure Centre: Monday to Thursday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm
- Hood Park Leisure Centre: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 2pm and 3pm
- Measham Leisure Centre: Tuesday and Thursday 10.30-11.30am
