Health and Social Care

Healthcare and social care are important public services that all of us need at some time during our lives.

The National Health Service (NHS), through hospitals and other healthcare trusts, provides treatment, services and advice to people who are ill or have had an accident, and to help them stay healthy. Social care covers a wide range of services and support provided by local authorities and other organisations to help the most vulnerable people in society live as independently as possible. This section provides information about the services this Council provides or links to other service providers.
