Coalville Swimming Club

Coalville Swimming Club has currently 100+ swimmers registered and this includes swimmers of all round ability, from young swimmers keen to take the sport up to Midland, National and International Swimmers.

If you 8 years or over and are reasonably able to perform three different strokes, or if you are at present having swimming lessons at one of the pools in the district, your teacher will be able to make the necessary recommendations.

East Midlands Karate

East Midlands Karate is a family Martial Arts school covering Karate, Taekwondo and kickboxing in one art. Managed by Mr. and Mrs. Hutton. The school offers three courses, Basic, Masters and Leadership. The Basic course is designed to prepare the student for the commitment to become a black belt either through Leadership or Masters. The different courses each carry their own uniforms making it easy to differentiate between them. Our aim is for all our students to become a black belt leader and learn great physical martial arts as well as leadership life skills. Our courses build confidence, inner strength and respect.

Lau Gar Style Kung Fu

Our session are designed for both beginners and practising martial artists and include traditional techniques for physical and mental training. In a relatively short time, depending on your own commitment to our training programme, you will develop excellent self defence skills along with increased self confidence, mental and physical fitness. Lau Gar style kung fu club is part of the Independent Martial Arts Organisation with local clubs in Ashby and Tamworth. This style of kung fu is derived from the original southern Shaolin styles. Our chief instructor is Humphry Broomes and his main club is based in Southampton. Our club in Ashby has been in existence since the mid 1980's.
