Positive Futures
Positive Futures is a national sports based social inclusion programme, which Crime Concern manages and develops on behalf of the Home Office. Positive Futures is a relationship strategy, based on the principle that through sport and the building of mutual respect, doorways to an alternative lifestyle can open.
Positive Futures offers young people an opportunity to build relationships and to take part in activities that they think are worthwhile, led by dedicated and skilled community coaches and volunteers. The programmes aim to meet the needs of those marginalized groups of young people by providing them diversionary activity that they want to take part in. The hope is to develop them as people, as well as offering alternatives to anti-social behaviour, substance misuse and crime. We provide a variety of activities including Street Dance, DJ Workshops, Basketball, Football, Girls Groups, Youth Clubs and swimming. To find out what is going on, dowload the activity programme below.
