Where We Do it?

We have the task of ensuring that all areas of its responsibility are properly maintained to an acceptable standard of cleanliness. There are a number of different areas that we have a responsibility for, including;

• public roads / roadside verges and lay-bys
• public car parks
• public footpaths
• Council owned recreation areas - (dealt with by the Parks Dept.)

Public Roads

There are approximately 425 miles of roads in North West Leicestershire. These range from quiet rural roads, residential streets, village centres, town centres, classified A & B roads throught to the very busy A42. The cleaning needs differe according to the type of road and the pattern of litter generation.
