Should you wish to submit a planning application, we recommend you submit it using the Planning Portal and make the fee through the planning portal too.

Alternatively, you can submit an application by e-mailing us the following information:

1) Application form;

2) Any other plans or documentation outlined in the National and Local Requirements for Planning Applications (July 2013) (Word Document, 1.71 Mb) appropriate to your development;

Please note we are unable to accept plans larger than A3 sent by post or handed in at our Customer Service Centre.

Planning application fees increased on 6 December 2023.

The provision for a ‘free go’ on application resubmissions has now been removed, but individual applications that were already eligible for a free resubmission prior to the change (i.e. before 6 December 2023) will remain so.

If you are submitting an application to us by email, please can you also make the planning application fee by BACS using the following details:-

4) Once the fee has been paid, please submit your application to us by emailing development.control@nwleicestershire.gov.uk and confirm that the fee has been paid by BACS.

If you are unable to make payment by BACS please call 01530 454665 and a member of our Planning Support Team will be able to take a card payment.

You can also pay the fee using the self-serve machines at our Customer Service Centre in Belvoir Road in Coalville.
