100th Ashby Show - Heather
Our Show is based around the Cattle, Sheep, Horse & Pony and Show Jumping classes which attract exhibitors from all over the Country. To celbrate the centenary of the Ashby Show this years event will be opened by HRH Duke of Gloucester.
We also have over 200 trade exhibitors bringing you the best in British Farm Produce, the latest tractors & farm machinery and cars to anything for the garden. From clothing and jewellery to hand made cards, there is something for everyone. Combine this with vintage and modern machinery, Dog Show, rides and stalls for children, a beer tent and much more you will be sure to have a great family day out.

Whitwick and District U3A General Meeting
The July General Meeting of Whitwick and District U3A will include a talk by Sara Crofts, Deputy Director of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, East Midlands. Sara describes herself as: "Daft about old buildings."
Come along on Friday 18th July to discover more about Sara's passion and the varied U3A Interest Groups on offer. A warm welcome awaits. Songs for a Summer Evening by Melbourne Operatic Society
Melbourne Operatic Society present this year’s summer concerts with the usual wide range of light music. There will be a lot of choral items, but these will be interspersed with solos, duets, trios etc. There will be some Gilbert and Sullivan, mainly as a taster for the 2015 show, which will be The Mikado.
The concert takes place at the Duchess Theatre Long Eaton and will be repeated at the Melbourne Assembly Rooms on Saturday July 26th.

Fun Day at Coalville Rugby Club
Coalville Rugby Club is having an Open/Fun Day on Sunday 27th July from 10am.
There will be rugby based fun and games for children aged between 6 and 14 (boys and girls), a bouncy castle and bar & BBQ.
