Makeshift Children's Art Workshop - Yarn Garland

Fun art sessions across Leicestershire. A range of art activities for different ages including drawing, painting, printmaking and textiles - often with a recycling theme!
YARN GARLAND – Wednesday 14th October
Children will learn how yarn can be used in different ways, such as wrapping and weaving to create a decorative garland. Grown ups are encouraged to help the kids and enjoy the activity together!
Suitable for 2-5 year olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pop Up Wildlife Cinema - Swadlincote
Come along to Oakland Village in Swadlincote at 6.30pm to experience a real wildlife cinema . This highly popular monthly event harks back to the days of whirring projectors and flickering images on screen, but is bought squarely into the 21st century with stunning digital video and sound to give the viewer a real sense of immersion in this fabulous medium. This months film is about the Cevennes National Park in the south of France. An area of spectacular deep river gorges and high windswept plateaux, each packed with a mouth-watering array of plants, butterflies, birds and insects, amidst a fabulous landscape back drop.
