Spring Fayre - Coalville
St Peter's Church, Bardon Hill are having their Spring Fayre on Monday 2nd May from 10:00am to 2:00pm to be held at Christ Church Halls, London Road, Coalville. We will be serving refreshments and have stalls such as raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac, toys, books, plants and games.

Coalville Walking Group
Some of the members of the Coalville Friendship Group that has been meeting on Tuesday afternoons have been talking about the possibility of starting a walking group as a first step towards developing some new activity groups.
For this first walk, we've been talking about the walks close to McDonalds, which the group could have a look at. We will be meeting at Hermitage FM at 11-11.30am on Tuesday 3rd May, going for a walk for about an hour and then going on the Wetherspoons group at 1pm for those that would like to.

Dark Horse in Concert - Ashby
Local acoustic covers band Dark Horse will be performing in concert in the "Loft Bar" at the Queen's Head Hotel, Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch at 8pm.
Featuring Vicky Dove on lead vocals, Tom Dove on fiddle and mandolin, Chris Punter on rhythm guitar and vocals and Guy Rogers on banjo, guitar and vocals.
Dark Horse are a premium acoustic covers band with a vast range of material from contemporary to folk, Irish and country. In fact something to suit all tastes. The band manages to generate a great atmosphere wherever they go and you will not be disappointed you came.
Tickets £7.50 per head.

Coalville Civic Society
One of the community project ideas developing in Coalville is 'Coalville Civic Society', a group whose aims shall be to improve Coalville and the surrounding urban areas as a place to live, work and visit. Membership will be open to anyone who is willing to actively contribute to the aims.
The plan is for this group to be a network that can empower individuals to take action in the Coalville area to improve Coalville and the surrounding areas as a place to live, work and visit.
This first meeting will take place on Tuesday 10th May at Hermitage FM - all welcome to attend.

Wedding Dress Exhibition - Ashby de la Zouch
At St Helen's Church, Ashby de la Zouch. In aid of the St Helen's Heritage Project. On Saturday 28th May, 10-4 and Sunday 29th May, 12-4. There will be wedding dresses, photos, poetry, music and a pop-up tea shop.
