Youth Council
The Youth Council are a group of young people aged 13-19 who get together to voice the views of young people aged 11-21. This can be anything from resolving issues within their local area and trying to get new facilities to organising events like Battle of the Bands.
The Youth Council meet once a month and work on an open forum basis, which means anyone can come along to a meeting with an issue they want resolving and they will help make things happen.
The Youth Council is run in partnership between North West Leicestershire District Council and Leicestershire County Council Youth Service. It also has a close working relationship with other local youth led organisations like Connexions.
