I am delighted to introduce the refreshed North West Leicestershire Play Strategy for 2008-2011 for our District.
North West Leicestershire District Council can demonstrate a long term commitment to the development of children's play through the
revision of this Play Strategy, the employment of a Children's Services Co-ordinator and significant investment into play facilities and activities over a number of years.
We consider ourselves to be a proactive authority that is working in partnership with
children & young people and a wide range of key agencies to ensure the continual
development of quality and accessible play opportunities.
Our vision for Play is as follows;
"to provide good quality opportunities for children and young people to play and
learn within North West Leicestershire which make the District a great place for
children and young people to grow up and live"
