Pollution control - inspection and regulation of premises - Part A processes
Under the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000 anyone who wishes to operate an installation which involves certain industrial activities which have the potential to cause air pollution requires a permit for the installation. Permits for Part A (processes with the greatest potential to cause pollution) are issued by SEPA.
