We have adopted five lists of local heritage assets. The lists contain more than seventy buildings that we believe make a special contribution to the district's architectural and historic interest. We believe that these buildings meet our 'criteria for identifying local heritage assets', which we adopted in June 2016. The five lists are as follows:

Please note that the inclusion of any building on the draft 'local list' does not mean that the building or its grounds are open to the public. Many of the buildings on the draft 'local list' are private homes or businesses, so please respect the occupiers' privacy.

Make a nomination
Please nominate a building for inclusion on the 'local list'. You can make a nomination using our online nomination form (see the link below). You can also make a nomination by printing our nomination form, completing it and sending it to:

Before you make a nomination, we would recommend that you check that the building is not already included on the National Heritage List for England (see link below). The National Heritage List includes listed buildings, scheduled monuments and registered parks and gardens.
