Distance Learning

Trying to fit learning in around a busy schedule can be difficult, and having the finances for a course to upskill isn’t always possible, that’s why we offer a range of free online Distance Learning courses.

These courses allow you to learn a new skill, or upskill, at home in your own time. We offer a variety of courses covering Health & Social Care, Education, and Business. 

As part of every course, you receive access to high-quality paper-based or online resources, in addition to guidance from our dedicated, expert tutors. You can study at your own pace, fitting the modules in around your existing commitments - providing all work is completed within 12 weeks.

The Refugee Employability Programme (REP) is aimed at supporting refugees in achieving employment, or better
employment, within the East Midlands region.
A free programme of tailored and flexible employment support to help with all aspects of settling into the UK
culture and accessing employment. We recognise everyone is different and offer individual support to reflect this.

Support may include: • English language training • Employability skills training • Cultural orientation • Help getting qualifications • Job networking support

Sessions will usually take place face-to-face at centres across the region. In some cases online delivery may be possible instead. Hours per week and available qualifications will change on a case by case basis.

Eligibility:
• 18+ years old
• Legally recognised refugee with right to work
• Not in full time employment or education
• Live in the East Midlands region

Wheels To Work -

Struggling to find transport to work or training? Seen a job which you fancy but have no transport to get there?   

 

Based at Silverstone Race Circuit, Wheels to Work Silverstone is a scheme set up to help people get to work, school or college when public transport is difficult. If you live in Leicestershire Wheels to Work Silverstone can provide you with a scooter that may be free for a period of time or with reduced rental payments.

If you don’t qualify for the scheme, you can still hire one of our great 50cc or 125cc scooters. Scooter rental is a cost effective and convenient way to get where you want to go, parking and congestion fees are often a lot less too!
