We always encourage customers to talk to us before an application is made so that problems can be ironed out at an early stage.
Balancing the various regulations can be difficult, particularly if you haven't carried out building work before or decided not to follow the guidance in the approved documents.

Your email needs to be less than 10MB and the file must not be 'zipped'. Zipped files can hide viruses so our security software will block them automatically.

Our pre-application advice is free, but on the rare occasion that we need to consult specialists we would seek to recover these costs either by a direct charge to you at the time of the pre-application advice, or by building the costs into the application charges.
