North West Leicestershire is at the heart of the National Forest in the centre of the country. We're home to East Midlands Airport and have unrivalled transport links - including the M1, M42, A50.
Partly because of its accessibility, the district has proved attractive to inward investors, and has seen high levels of employment growth. Our unemployment rate is less than 3% - much lower than the national average.
There are around 4,000 businesses operating in the district across a diverse range of sectors. The county’s high skills levels and our commercial property portfolio of more than 95 properties also contribute to its favourable business environment.
We are all about attracting inward investment, supporting entrepreneurial activity, encouraging business growth, and improving business and economic infrastructure.
