As sometimes happen in the UK, bad weather strikes at the shortest notice.
We will always do our best to collect your waste - but sometimes it will take us longer than normal, or it might be impossible to reach you.
Usually there will be no collections after 6pm.
Please put your bins out as normal. If they are not collected by 6pm please take them back in and put them out again on the next scheduled collection two weeks later.
Boxes and sacks
Please put your boxes and sacks out as normal but if these are not collected, please take them back in (because they're a trip hazard on the pavement). We will collect them on your next scheduled collection day.
Plastic bottles, tin cans, plastic trays and paper are all easily blown around by the wind, which creates litter.
We ask our crews to sweep up any mess they make - along with putting containers back in the right place. We will also arrange extra street sweeping for affected areas where possible.
Help us to help you
You can help us to recycle more - and keep the streets litter free - by taking a few simple steps when you're putting your bins and sacks out.
