There is no application fee to join the lottery as a good cause and 60p of each £1 ticket sale from North West Leicestershire Community Lotterywill be given to local good causes. 40p will go directly towards charities, voluntary organisations, other not-for-profit groups and 20p will go into an NWLDC community fund, with the remainder being put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.

Paul Sanders, Head of Community Services at NWLDC, said: "The money raised by North West Leicestershire Community Lottery is going to make a lot of difference to grassroots good causes.

“We want this to help our local community groups, that is why it is completely free for charitable organisations to join.

“We'd encourage all charities and community groups to come to the good cause sessions to learn more and start fundraising with our lottery.”
