Equality Impact Assessment
Equality Impact Assessments or EIAs are a way of finding out whether our services or policies will affect some communities or groups of people differently.
The purpose of carrying them out is to make sure that we can improve our work and avoid discriminating against anyone.
The assessment is based on barriers that exist which could lead to some groups or people being treated differently than others and not getting the service from the council that they need.
By carrying out EIAs North West Leicestershire District Council is working to promote equality for all of our service users, employees and the wider society.
