Designated a Local Nature Reserve, this seven hectare site has open water, known as "flashes" created from mining subsidence and then flooding from the Saltersford Brook, woodland, grassland and wildflower meadows. A picnic area leads onto all weather trails suitable for wheelchair use, with assistance, as well as timber decking across the lake.
Opening times: Daily - Summer 9am-7pm, Winter 9am-4pm
Admission: Free
Disabled visitors: Some routes are suitable for disabled visitors, although assistance may be required in some places.
