Under the Immigration Act we have a duty to ensure that we only licence applicants who have a right to work in the UK.
All applicants must produce documentation to prove that they have the right to work in the UK. Please see here for information.
Your ability to speak and understand spoken English will also be tested and if you do not have sufficient understanding you will be asked to improve. Your application will be declined and no payments will be taken from you.
Drivers submitting a renewal application will also have to produce documents to prove you have the right to work in the UK.
