Information About the District of North West Leicestershire

North West Leicestershire District Council is subject under the specific duties of the Equality Act 2010, to publish equality information that it uses to help shape it's services and policies.

The three main aims of the Equality Act 2010 duties are to:

• Eliminate  unlawful discrimination, harrassment and victimisation and any other conduct prohibitied under the Act;
• Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic an dpeople who do not share it; and
• Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it.

The Council monitors the profile of its workforce in relation to age, disability, ethnicity and gender.
