Businesses in Coalville have been getting in the festive mood by creating fabulous window displays for North West Leicestershire District Council’s (NWLDC) Best Dressed Window competition which has seen YMCA win Chairman’s Choice 2023.
Window displays were judged by NWLDC Chairman Councillor Ray Morris who presented the coveted Chairman’s Choice trophy to the YMCA shop in the Belvoir Shopping Centre.
Both Sweet-T’s Hair and Beautique received highly commended awards for their displays and were presented with a certificate and banner by the Chairman.
The people’s choice voting is still open and you can vote online (using link below) or in person at the Customer Centre on Belvoir Road, Coalville. Remember, we still have our other competitions which you can enter including the new Coalville Illuminations competition.
Manager of Coalville’s YMCA branch, Jo Luxton said: “We push so hard every single year to try and do the best window so to actually win…it’s very emotional.
“I couldn’t have done it without my YMCA family here”.
NWLDC Chairman Councillor Ray Morris said: “I was truly amazed at the effort put in and the high standard of all the window displays that were entered this year.
“It was such a difficult decision to pick a winner out of such a magnificent array of windows but YMCA’s was very impressive.
“I have made my decision, but the public vote is still open and I urge everyone to vote for their favourite. Well done to everybody who entered and I hope I can see just as many, if not more, entries next year”.
