We are currently undertaking as many inspections as we reasonably can, but please note the following:-
- The government has today (23rd March) stated that construction is classed as ‘non-essential’ and therefore it should stop
- Non-essential face to face inspections should be avoided e.g. pre-application advice
- You will be asked whether anyone on site, or in your home is self-isolating or socially distancing themselves. In these circumstances we will not undertake inspections
We will risk assess each inspection request and if we choose not to inspect, we may ask to delay the visit, or accept photographs
We also process a lot of information about you property that is supplied by people you appoint such as 'competent persons', and Approved Inspectors.
And when it all goes wrong, and we can't agree an amicable solution, we also have responsibility for taking enforcement action under the Building Regulations and dangerous structure legislation.
Through LABC Consult we can offer you a vast range of services, using the best experts the industry has to offer - covering energy efficiency, acoustics, fire risk assessments and much, much more.
