What does the Local Development Order do?

The Coalville Conservation Area Local Development Order facilitates the improvement of identified property frontages in the conservation area. It allows for frontage improvement works without the need for planning permission, subject to the conditions of the Order.

Other requirements and permissions may still apply

Other work not covered by the Order may still need certain permissions, so please do check with us first.

Although planning permission will not be needed for work covered by the Order, you may still need to comply with other permissions such as advertisement consent, building regulations and licensing requirements.

We strongly advise you to contact our Planning and Development Team, Building Control Team and Licensing Team, who will be happy to help you.
