Castle Donington Community Library

Project summary

This project will help transform Castle Donington’s existing library into a community information hub that can be accessed by everyone in the village.  The funding will help improve the building’s infrastructure and create an information point, training centre, meeting place and rural library.  Castle Donington’s population is increasing and this new one-stop shop will allow residents to access advice and support from local agencies such as the parish council, district and county councils and the police.  Local volunteers will operate the library, which will be improved further with the addition of a new check-out system, IT facilities and free wi-fi.
