Publication Scheme

North West Leicestershire District Council is required to have a Publication Scheme. This commits the council to make information available to the public as part of its normal business activities.

Please see our latest Publication Scheme 2018/2019 (Word Document, 0.1 Mb).

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) provides a model publication scheme which provides a breakdown of the classes or types of information which we should publish.

Some information may only be available by viewing in person.  An appointment can be made to view such information within a reasonable timescale.

Transparency

The Local Government Transparency Code was issued to meet the Government’s desire to place more power into citizens’ hands to increase democratic accountability. The goal is to make it easier for local people to contribute to the local decision making process and help shape public services.

Open Data

Data published under the Transparency Code and our Publication Scheme, along with information published by our departments, is available on our website.

Find the information you are looking for in our Open Data.

Information held by us that is not published can be requested under the Freedom of Information Act (2000). You can make a Freedom of Information request online or in writing.
