Project summary

This project will contribute to transforming and extending the existing building known as the Cottage to provide a state of the art community and heritage venue next door to St. Helen’s Church.  It will further enhance the visitor experience by improving the appearance of the churchyard and one of the busiest gateways to our town.

Facilities will include accessible toilets, fully equipped kitchen, small meeting room and an activities area for up to 100 people. Outside the street lighting and street furniture will be replaced, the footways resurfaced, redundant kerb sets removed and some of the memorial headstones relocated.
