When can I come?
Please take a look at our Exercise Referral Timetable - Level 3 & 4 (May 2020) (PDF Document, 0.89 Mb) to see which classes you could try.
Will other members of the public be allowed in to my sessions?
During Exercise Referral sessions there may be other centre users in the session during quiet times.
If you attend a mainstream class or access the fitness suite at any other time all centre users will be allowed access.
Are my sessions delivered by a qualified instructor?
Do you have to pay per session?
You can choose if you wish, to pay £28.50 per month to have unlimited access to the gym, health suite, fitness classes and swimming pool.
This is a non-contract membership.
How much does it cost?
Hood Park Leisure Centre and Hermitage Leisure Centre:
- If you attend the gym at anytime you will pay £5.00 with an induction costing
- If you attend a Exercise Referral fitness class that appears on the timetable you will pay £3.00
Do I need to pay a membership fee?
All Exercise Referral customers are required to pay a leisure link fee of £6.25 for the 12 Week programme.
Do I have to book?
If you choose to use the Fitness Suite then all new users are permitted to undertake an induction. This can be booked at any time and it will usually take place within the referral hour.
During your Induction you will also have a personal exercise program written for you at no extra cost. The program will provide you with a concise and structured approach to your fitness session.
Following your induction it is not necessary to re-book unless you are due for your personal exercise program reviews session. Your instructor will inform you of when this is.
It is advisable though not always necessary to reserve places for Aqua Aerobics and any dry-side studio based activity. This will guarantee you your place and also in the event of a cancellation provide us with your contact details so we can inform you.
What if I have a question after I leave the meeting?
Please contact Melanie Hall by telephone on 01530 454 839 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What happens after 12 weeks?
After 12 weeks you will be invited to attend a 12 week review session where we will carry out a set of simple lifestyle tests including blood pressure and weight which will provide us with statistical analysis of your progression.
We will go over the last 12 weeks and assess its success and the exit routes available to you.
You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions regarding the Exercise Referral Scheme.
