Recycling and household waste sites 

There are two Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) in North West Leicestershire - Coalville and Lount (near Ashby). They are run by Leicestershire County Council.

Opening times

Gates are shut at both sites five minutes before the closing times. Bookings are no longer required at these sites.

Permits are required for vans and trailers, and for certain types of waste. Check if you need a permit.

Bring bank sites

As part of our Recycle more... plan, we are reviewing the 45 mini recycling sites and the effectiveness of them alongside the kerbside recycling collection service. As part of the review, we will look at how we can make it easier to recycle possible items such as tetra paks, nappies small electrical items and film at these recycling sites.
