Age UK help elderly residents within the community. The coronavirus pandemic has changed life for everyone, but some older people are among the hardest hit. Age UK have a helpline dedicated to provide practical and emotional support to those over 70, especially those who are self-isolating and live alone.

Community Support Schemes
There are a number of community support and good neighbour schemes in place across North West Leicestershire.
Good neighbour schemes use local volunteers to help people who need assistance with things like shopping, dog walking, and collecting medication.
Many groups within North West Leicestershire are now offering support for people who are self-isolating or otherwise affected by coronavirus.

VASL – Community Champions
