If you are a tenant of North West Leicestershire District Council you will have signed a tenancy agreement.
The tenancy agreement is a legal document that outlines your rights and responsibilities as a tenant - and our rights and responsibilities as your landlord.
It includes information on anti-social behaviour, rent, property use, repairs, hygiene, health and safety, animals, gardens, vehicles and ending your tenancy.
Review of the Tenancy Agreement
Tenants were consulted on original changes to the Tenancy Agreement between December 2015 and April the following year.
A Notice of Variation was issued in January 2016 and Cabinet members reveiwed the agreement in February 2016 in order to ratify the process. A final copy of the agreement was sent out to tenants in late February 2016 which is the tenants copy (and can be found on this page), coming into effect in April 2016.
Further changes have now been proposed to the tenancy agreement which is available for you to review in draft form below:

To supplement the agreement, there is also a Tenants Hadnbook which was reviewed and implemented in 2017 following work with the Landlord Services Working Group.
