The District Council has collated these representations and passed them on to the Independent Examiner, who has now been appointed. The Independent Examiner is looking at the responses received and the Neighbourhood Plan documents to assess whether the Plan meets the Basic Conditions and can proceed to referendum.

Submission Neighbourhood Plan

In September 2018, Ellistown and Battleflat Parish Council submitted the Ellistown and Battleflat Neighbourhood Plan to the District Council.

In accordance with Section 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 North West Leicestershire District Council consulted on the neighbourhood plan for six weeks between 27 September 2018 and 8 November 2018.

It is the responsibility of the District Council to collate all the responses and pass them onto the independent Examiner (when appointed), who will look at them and the Neighbourhood Plan documents when assessing whether the Plan meets the Basic Conditions and can proceed to referendum.

Pre-Submission Consultation

In August 2017, the Parish Council published a Notification of Formal Consultation on the Neighbourhood Plan to accompany the publication of the pre-submission draft Neighbourhood Plan.

Neighbourhood Area Designation

In December 2013 Ellistown and Battleflat Parish Council applied to North West Leicestershire District Council for designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area under Part 2 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.  Details of the application can be viewed below:
